READING CHALLENGE!
During the month of February, we are having a Reading Challenge in the Library. Classes will compete within their grade. Each grade is given an obtainable goal total 'words read'.
I will run a report through Renaissance at the end of each week to determine which class in each grade has read the most words. The class who wins that week, will participate in a "Cookie Challenge" during A.E. the following week. (I will coordinate with the winning team's teacher on which day.)
The Top 50 Readers the first week will receive a "BE A SMART COOKIE...READ" book mark.
To Kick Off our 'Cookie Reading Challenge', students are asked to guess how many cookies are in the cookie jar. The student, who guesses the closest without going over, will receive 10,000 bonus words for themselves AND their class! AND...that student's class will get to eat ALL the cookies in the jar! HERE ARE THE WEEKLY WINNER CHALLENGE REWARDS!
